For the classy or creative bride, a paint-and-sip party is a fun and fabulous bachelorette party option. Whether you opt to create a work of art on canvas or glassware, everyone will leave home with colorful mementos and even more colorful memories.
At Bottle & Bottega in Chicago’s South Loop, guests have the option of painting one canvas each, working together to create a mural for the bride, decorating wine glasses or mosaics.
“Basically Bottle & Bottega is one part artistic venture and one part cocktail party,” explains Pamela DeFranco, marketing manager for the nationwide chain. “It’s fun. It’s a night out with your girlfriends. We really pride ourselves on a fun, eclectic look with an upscale approach and emphasize real art.”
You can even surprise the bride with a handsome male model!
“It’s similar to a figure drawing painting class you’d do in art class, but a little different,” says DeFranco. “Here you have a cocktail environment that’s more laid back. Everyone has wine and you’re sipping and giggling with your friends. It’s very unique, tasteful and very fun–the perfect ingredients for a bachelorette party.”
And if you’re not a modern day Picasso, don’t worry–experience isn’t necessary and there are instructors to help you every step of the way.
You can host a private party at Bottle & Bottega’s studio or a Pop-Up party at the venue of your choice. Rates start at $40 per person and events are reserved in two- to three-hour blocks. Have guests arrive between a half hour to an hour prior to party time to sip some wine (this location is BYOB) and enjoy hors d’oeuvres.
“It’s really about being creative,” explains DeFranco. “It’s not paint by numbers, but step-by-step and creating real art in a real way.”
