A Sophisticated BASH: Georgetown, Washington, D.C.
by Shannon Morgan
When I was a bachelorette, my bridesmaids surprised me with a limo ride to Washington, D.C., dinner in Georgetown and a night of dancing. It was perfect for me.
I love Georgetown and think its great location for a sophisticated bachelorette party in our nation’s capital. Here’s how you can enjoy a Georgetown BASH, too:
Start the day by shopping along M Street and Wisconsin Avenue. There are so many unique shops to explore (american/holiday is a fav!) Your bride-to-be is sure to find something she adores.
Grab lunch at Kafe Leopold, then rest and rejuvenate with some pampering at the Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons spa. Bonus points if you book a room there, too. Or stay at the luxurious Capella Hotel and bring the spa to your bride.
If you stay at Capella — and even if you don’t — begin the night out with drinks at Capella’s Rye Bar. The drink menu changes seasonally and the bartender really knows his cocktails.
Make reservations for dinner at Fiola Mare and then treat your bride-to-be a night of fun. Georgetown offers a unique range of options, from bowling and entertainment at Pinstripes to live music at Gypsy Sally’s.
Whatever you choose, your bride-to-be is sure to have a memorable Georgetown bachelorette party.
